      I've uploaded 7 new videos to You Tube over the past month. All are from my latest album ALBEDO Christmas. The link above is for the playlist that contains all 7 videos. The videos are a combination of views of some of the programs and instruments involved in created the songs, and can be viewed in 1080 HD.

      ALBEDO Christmas was released back on November 1st, and is available on CD or through mp3 download. It's currently available on iTunes, Amazon, CD Baby, Google Play, plus many more. It's also currently on sale at the Karaoke Shop at Day Murray Music for only $8.99 (801-266-3538).

      The album is a collection of secular and sacred Christmas songs using live and synthetic elements. Ranging from solo piano, to chamber orchestra, to full symphonic score with choir. The music is similar in style to Mannheim Steamroller, Kurt Bestor, and Jon Schmidt. I sing all the vocal parts myself, including the solos and the choir parts. I also play a lot of different woodwind instruments including Clarinet, Oboe, and Recorders, all of which are used on the album. Everything else is achieved digitally through the use of synthetics and virtual orchestra samples.

      The album is a collection of secular and sacred Christmas songs using live and synthetic elements. Ranging from solo piano, to chamber orchestra, to full symphonic score with choir.       Our brand new Christmas album was released today, November 1st, and is now available on CD or mp3 download. I couldn't in good conscious release a Christmas album before Halloween, so I waited until today. It's already up on iTunes and Google Play, plus several more will be available soon.

      The album is a collection of secular and sacred Christmas songs using live and synthetic elements. Ranging from solo piano, to chamber orchestra, to full symphonic score with choir. The music is similar in style to Mannheim Steamroller, Kurt Bestor, and Jon Schmidt. I sing all the vocal parts myself, including the solos and the choir parts. I also play a lot of different woodwind instruments including Clarinet, Oboe, and Recorders, all of which will be used on the album. Everything else is achieved digitally through the use of synthetics and virtual orchestra samples.

      I'm currently in the process of working on some videos for You Tube for all the songs from the album. Once they have been uploaded I'll let you know, but it'll probably take awhile. HD video takes a long time to render and upload.

      Also, this doesn't have anything to do with the Christmas album, but last Sunday the Silverwood Clarinet Choir performed an arrangement of the song “Creaturehouse” from our Digital Fingers album. They're from Syracuse, NY and played it at their Halloween concert. Below is a link on You Tube where you can hear the performance (audio only).

      The album is a five movement symphony based on the music from “Forgotten Lands”. If you're not familiar with “Forgotten Lands” it was an album released last year, and is the soundtrack to a video game by TBC Productions. For this album I took the music I wrote for the video game and made it bigger. I re-did the orchestrations and completely re-did the recordings. There is a brand new ALBEDO album and it's officially released next week on Monday the 8^th of October. It's called: “Symphony No. 1”.

The album is a five movement symphony based on the music from “Forgotten Lands”. If you're not familiar with “Forgotten Lands” it was an album released last year, and is the soundtrack to a video game by TBC Productions. For this album I took the music I wrote for the video game and made it bigger. I re-did the orchestrations and completely re-did the recordings. I put similar songs together and ended up with 5 different movements, while expanding some songs and putting in some brand new sections.

The music, recordings, and CD design are all finished. I'm just finishing up with the sheet music this week which will also be available upon the album release.

You can get a Pre-Order CD right now for only $5. It will cost more once the album has been released since it'll only be available through established retailers. We are now a wholesale company, which means we no longer sell our products directly to the consumer. Products will be shipped off to already established retail companies and they will be the ones who will sell everything from now on.

Albedo to Release Their First New Age Christmas Album

The New Age Music Artist Albedo is in the process of completing their very first Christmas album. According to their website, the release date will be November 1, 2012. Their style is similar to Mannheim Steamroller or Kurt Bestor, but featuring more vocals.

The album will be a collection of secular and sacred Christmas songs using live and synthetic elements. Ranging from synthetic mixes, to solo piano, to chamber orchestra, to full symphonic score with choir. Doug Clyde, the composer and creator of Albedo, sings all the vocal parts on the album himself, including the solos and all the choir parts. He also plays a lot of different woodwind instruments including Clarinet, Oboe, and Recorders. All of which will be used on the album. Everything else will be achieved digitally through the use of synthetics and virtual orchestra samples. Some of the songs included on the album are: Jingle Bells, Up On the Housetop, Silent Night, What Child Is This, O Come All Ye Faithful, plus music from Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker and Handel's Messiah.

CDs will be available on their website, and Pre-Order CDs can be purchased right now for only $5. This price is a pre-release special and will not last long. Mp3s will be available at several online stores, including iTunes and Amazon in November. There are some fund raising projects planned for the months of September and October on websites like KickStarter and PledgeMusic, if clients would like to get involved with the project. There will be plenty of merchandise awarded for any size pledge amount they would like to give, including CDs, mp3s, Sheet Music, T-Shirts, plus more.

Albedo has also just barely released a classical album called “Symphony No. 1.” It's a five movement symphony based on the music from a previous album called “Forgotten Lands”, which is the soundtrack to a video game released back in 2011. CDs are currently available on their website for only $5.

Albedo can not only be heard on CD, but in live performances as well. There will be a live concert where Albedo will perform songs from the Christmas album in December at a yet to be determined venue somewhere in Salt Lake City. Plans are also being made for a music video to be filmed and released this year. Please check their website for updates on all of these events.

      Sorry for not sending out any messages for awhile. I was in Omaha, Nebraska in June taking a private tour of the Mannheim Steamroller facilities. I love their music and it was a great honor to see their warehouse and talk to the people behind the scenes! Then in July I performed in a musical at the Egyptian Theater in Park City (Yes, that's the same place where the Sundance Film Festival is held). It was a sold out performance every single night, but just because I've been away doesn't mean I've stopped creating.

      By the end of the year there will be 2 new ALBEDO albums! The first will called Symphony No. 1, and should be released in October of this year. It's a five movement symphony based on the music I wrote for Forgotten Lands (the soundtrack to a video game, which was released last October). The second will be a Christmas album that is scheduled to be released by November this year. It will most likely be called ALBEDO Christmas. It will contain many yuletide favorites, including updated versions of Jingle Bells and Up on the Housetop. It's written in a New Age/Classical style and will be a mixture of synthetics and acoustic instruments. The sound is similar to Mannheim Steamroller (obviously I'm a big fan and heavy influenced by them). I'm really excited about this one, so I'll definitely keep you posted when updates become available. Enjoy your summer!

Soundtrack to the video game "Forgotten Lands VIII: The Legend of Shadow Lake" by TBC Productions. 

      The physical CD for the album “Forgotten Lands” is finally available on other websites. The process took longer then expected, but it's finally here. It's available on CD Baby, Bandcamp, Day Murray Music, plus our website. Currently we only have 15 copies left in stock, and I don't think I'll be printing any more. Once we run out, CD Baby might have a few more copies in stock. Mp3 downloads will still be available on iTunes, Amazon, etc. once the CDs are gone.

      For those of you who don't know, “Forgotten Lands” is the soundtrack to the video game "Forgotten Lands VIII: The Legend of Shadow Lake" by TBC Productions. The music ranges from full orchestral score to ragtime to fiddle music, and is similar to the music from Zelda and Final Fantasy.

     I'm currently working on a full symphonic version of this album that I'm planning on getting a recording of with live musicians. I'll keep you updated on that project. Have a nice Easter!
